SCOPE
The Minnesota Independent School Forum gathers information
on its member schools and conducts a periodic survey of private K-12
schools in Minnesota known as SCOPE (Statewide Census of Private Education).
SCOPE Survey on Minnesota’s Private Education
Community
The SCOPE survey seeks to gather comparable data on private K-12 schools
and is distributed to all private schools in the state. Approximately
63 percent of schools respond and they educate over three-quarters
of students in Minnesota’s private schools. Data in SCOPE covers
four basic areas: schools (location, grades, etc.); students (enrollment,
demographics, etc.); staff (degrees, experience, etc.) and financial
information (government service participation, tuition, etc.).
