MISF Development Director Meetings

 MISF coordinates quarterly Development Directors (DDs) meetings for its member schools. These networking meetings provide an opportunity for private school advancement professionals to come together over lunch to share ideas, brainstorm, learn from outside speakers, and support one another in the challenging yet all important task of raising money for private schools. Meeting together regularly helps maintain and build the focus, excitement, and accountability needed as a fundraiser. MISF believes the success of any advancement officer depends on the extent to which he or she reaches out to others and develops a distinct, knowledgeable and motivated circle of supportive partners.

 MISF designed its DD meetings knowing that its member school development offices created a naturally occuring networking group. MISF continues these meetings because they offer DDs an established group of partners who share comparable experiences and challenges. This bolsters each school's fundraising efforts which leads to a deeper base of financial support, stronger schools, and added funding for the kids who need it the most. Each meeting is held at a different MISF member school. This gives DDs the opportunity to tour a variety of schools. Seeing what other schools are doing can often provide unique ideas that DDs may decide to replicate when they return home.

DD meetings are free to MISF schools as part of their membership package. Nonmember schools are also welcome to attend for $15 per person. This fee covers the cost of lunch, handouts and any additional materials.
